Three random things for right now. I’m sitting here at work super early, okay so it’s only 7:30 and most people are at work right now, but I usually don’t get in until 8 so it’s still early to me. Anyways….. Thing #1 Today is the big day! AMANDA AND I GO TO THE SCRAPBOOK CONVENTION. Yes we are old ladies who scrapbook and do things with yarn, I crochet and she knits. And we love it! So yay! We will be leaving around 4 to head to St Louis to our Badass hotel.
Thing # 2.
So while looking for a new Myspace song I went on the Paramore’s page and saw their latest video, That’s what you get, and notice there are a lot of scenes that show Nashville. It’s so weird that I can now recognize things like that. I have to say that I actually like living here. I have seen more celebrities living here than I ever did living in California. I have seen Hayley from Paramore twice and one other dudes from Paramore too. If you don’t know they are from Franklin, TN which is where I work at the mall and lived for a while. So I would say that it’s not an uncommon event to see them in the mall when they are not on tour. By the way, I didn’t say anything other than “Hi”, which she said to me first. But she seems really nice, genuine and down to Earth. Yes I did gather all that info from a one word conversation, but I get a feeling from people and I’m usually right, well when it comes to girls I’m usually right, guys are a whole other story and usually just want to get in your pants.
Thing # 3. Please people leave Matt Leinart alone. He is 24 years old and has money. So if he wants to party then let him. Matt and I are the same age, and grew up near each other and that’s just what you do. You go to house parties where people are drinking from a beer bong and its just fun! I don’t care what fans say or think they are just silly. It’s the off season and he has to have some fun. He’s not married and doesn’t have custody of his child. So get over it! P.S. It’s not like he’s on the Cowboys, so who cares.
Okay, that’s it for now.
Steph
I think it’s funny when I look at my blog stats and see what people have been reading. People keep reading the thing about the Flobots. I have no idea who they are, what they make music about or anything. I just like the beat. I was listening to Kevin and Bean this morning and they were talking to the singer for the Flobots and he said that there wasn’t one specific event that made him write the song. It’s about people and their actions and that he played into the whole president Bush issue and the war. Here’s my opinion. I have no opinion. I like music, all types of music. I am just a 24 year old girl who likes to buy clothes, listen to random music, tan, and look cute. Here is what I am not, I am not political, or a super feminist or a total Bush hater (I’m not a big fan of his, but I don’t totally hate the fool). By the way, my husband will attest to this, I am not a lyrics person I like beats and voices. I had no idea what Brick by Ben Folds Five was about until like a month ago. Dave and I were sitting in the car and that song was on and I said “I really love this song; there is something in the song that just makes you feel the emotion.” He then said “Well it should with what the song is about”, I was amazed when he explained the song to me and it made me love the song even more.
So people who are writing me questions about what would generate feelings of liking that song, here it is. I like Music and all types of music, whether it has a political meaning or not, I like it. If you don’t like that reason then get over it because you don’t have to read my blog and I don’t write it for you to read it. I write it for me because I talk a lot and my husband gets sick of me emailing him all the time while he’s at work. I’m not trying to be a major bitch, but more of a minor bitch with major attitude.
I was listening to the Kevin and Bean archive from yesterday and I actually kinda like this song for real, not just for fun or anything. Here are the lyrics.
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebarsI can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebarsLook at me, look at me
hands in the air like it’s good to be
ALIVE
and I’m a famous rapper
even when the paths’re all crookedy
I can show you how to do-si-do
I can show you how to scratch a record
I can take apart the remote control
And I can almost put it back together
I can tie a knot in a cherry stem
I can tell you about Leif Ericson
I know all the words to “De Colores”
And “I’m Proud to be an American”
Me and my friend saw a platypus
Me and my friend made a comic book
And guess how long it took
I can do anything that I want cuz, look:
I can keep rhythm with no metronome
No metronome
No metronome
I can see your face on the telephone
On the telephone
On the telephone
Look at me
Look at me
Just called to say that it’s good to be
ALIVE
In such a small world
All curled up with a book to read
I can raise funds open up a thrift store
I can make a living off a magazine
I can design an engine sixty four
Miles to a gallon of gasoline
I can make new antibiotics
I can make computers survive aquatic conditions
I know how to run a business
And I can make you wanna buy a product
Movers shakers and producers
Me and my friends understand the future
I see the strings that control the systems
I can do anything with no assistance
I can change the nation with a microphone
With a microphone
With a microphone
I can split the atoms of a molecule
Of a molecule
Of a molecule
Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won’t stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let’em all die in exasperation
Have’em all grilled leavin lacerations
Have’em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don’t like’em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
By satellite
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
Through a telescope
and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handle bars
No handlebars
I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars
Today’s blog isn’t going to be a lot because right now I’m not in the mood to write a lot. I know that’s not like me, I’ll probably be in the mood to write later.
There are a few cd’s that are out and I want them or will be coming out within the next month. Here they are:
B-52s. 3/25/08-Yes I still love them and they totally rock!
The Submarines. 5/13/08-I just heard them a few days ago, but they have a girl singer and I LOVE girl singers and they rock.

Cobra Starship. Re-Release 4/15/08-They are super fun and dancy, great for the gym!
Gavin Degraw. 4/15/08-Not sure if I want this or not, but I liked his other stuff so I’ll probably like this too.
Flight of the Conchords. 4/22/08- FUCKING ROCK!
By the way, if you didn’t notice I LOVE bands that have “The” in front of their name. I’m weird and I know it.
