Falafel=icky

So for the past month or two I have been obsessing over the word FALAFEL.  I had never had a falafel but I thought it was a pretty cool word.  So whenever I get bored I think of that word and it kinda makes me laugh a little (in my head I’m laughing I’m not a crazy lady who starts laughing for the hell of it).  So a week or two ago I said that I bought a falafel kit from the awesome manufactures Fabulous.  Well I decided last night was the night and I was going to make me some falafels.  So I mixed my kit and broiled it and put it in a pita with lettuce and thought it was going to be totally awesome.  And it was awful!  Icky-Sicky-Never want to eat again awful!  So just an FYI, I do not like to eat falafels, but I do still like the word.

In other news.  I won!  I never win blog giveaways and I won a really super cool one!  The girl who had the giveaway has a parrot named Charlie and I truly believe that her parrot picked me because I have a bird named Charlie too.  he he! Anyways… check out the blog that I won stuff from cause it’s pretty exciting for me.  Oh and check out her ETSY store because her stuff totally rocks!

Ok that’s all for now.  I’ve gotta get to work.  My boss is out of town and that means I have a super duper lot of work to do.

P.S. Thought it was kinda funny but my boss left a copy of his signature on my desk last night so I can replicate it.  Don’t know why that’s funny to me, but it is.  I’m a freaking dork!

Two quick things that drive me insane:

1. Just because we can wear jeans to work on Friday does not mean that you can wear an oversized t-shirt. You should still try to dress it up a little. Put on a nice blouse, a pair of boots, umm… makeup. But you should at least look like you’ve put in an effort to look nice even while wearing jeans.

2. Its “I couldn’t care less” not “I could care less”. If you COULD care less then that means you still care and you just sound like a moron. Believe me I am not an English person, you can probably tell with my blogs, but this just drives me insane! Not sure why, but it does.

Okay, I think I’m done for now.

Oh did I tell you guys that I hit a parked car on my way to a bar like 2 weeks ago. Ya, I hadn’t even started drinking and I hit this car while I was parking at the bar. I’m a dipshit and I know it!

K-I’ll write again later!

Told you I would write again……

I’ve been changing the look and feel of my blog like 3 or 4 times a week.  I just don’t LOVE how it looks.  So I am still trying new things.  I kinda like what I right now.  I think it’s nice and I love the colors.  I’m a big green and brown person, maybe that’s why I like trees so much.  HA!  So if you notice it changing a lot that’s why. Plus I get bored so I like change.

I was thinking today about all the weird random dudes that try to talk to me when I’m waiting at the light cross-before or after work.  Why do they try to talk to me.  I clearly have the “leave me the fuck alone” look on my face, yet they still try.  So I am cordial but we both know that I don’t want to talk to them.  It’s not like they are cool dudes either, it’s those guys that work at Walgreens that are walking home, which is at the cross section of Nolensville and Harding (because I desperately needed to know this) and it’s going to take them 2 hours to get home.  I don’t know if the guy is waiting for me to say “Hop right in buddy”, but I’m not.  I am the most paranoid, biggest scardy cat in the world and I would not let ANYONE that I do not know in my car.  Here are a few other funny quotes that the random dudes have said to me. “I’m not a robber, just an alcoholic who needs money to buy something to drink”, another dude said “I’m not gonna rob you I’m just a former alcoholic who needs food”.  Whats up with them not being robbers, like I’m going to give you money because you have now told me you aren’t going to rob me.  But I truly belive the best quote from a random dude came from Mr. I fell in the snow Man, he said “Can you help a man out and pay for my prescription, it’s over there at Walgreens.”  Now I don’t know about all of you but I look like I’m about 15 years old so when some dude think for some reason a 15 year old girl has money to buy him something then I think maybe he’s a little bit nuts.

Okay now you all think I’m a bitch.  Well I am, but only on Fridays.  HA!

Oh guess what, it’s raining today so while walking across the street from the parking lot to my office, I only got splashed 4 times by cars.  I was yelling every curse word known to man.  Can’t wait to move to our new building in October.

Wow!  I’m complaining a lot today!  Enough of that.  I’m super excited because I did another layout today.  I think it’s cute and I love it.  I’m kinda silly because unlike everyone else who actually eat their lunch on their lunch hour I decide to close my office door and scrapbook.  I need to remember to bring my stuff home tonight.  Of course when I’m making a page I think to myself, “Self… you should have brought this from home, that would have made this page awesome”, so I bring it the next day and that’s when you come into my office/scraproom and see 1 corner filled with scrapbook shit.  Oh well!  Better bring that home tonight! :)

K. I’m done writing for now, but I bet I’ll write again because I get randomly bored and write stuff.

If you can tell, today’s secret word is RANDOM!  YAAAAHOOOO!!!!

Websites that I’ve been looking at lately April 10, 2008

Filed under: Me, Random Stuff, Scrapbooking, Websites — sdrummond201 @ 10:22 am

Okay, todays blog isn’t anything fancy or long or lengthy.  Well that’s what I’m thinking right now.  I’m kinda tired, like always.

So here are a few cool websites that I have found recently.  I bet you will like them too!

Winkflash- I used them for my Christmas cards and loved them.  Right now they have a great deal going on, 6 cent 4×6 prints, 8 cent 5×7 prints, and 99 cent 8×10 prints.  I figured that with shipping if I ordered 100 4×6 prints and 10 5×7 prints that it would cost my 15 bucks to have them sent here.   GOTTA LOVE IT!  I really like the quality too!  This sale is going on until April 17th so get on it! :)   I think I spent 13 bucks for 40 pictures that I sent to Walgreens.  Boo!

Scrap in Style TV-  I’ve been a member for a few months but did not post anything until recently and I have to say that their community is great!  The women are super nice and friendly and it’s nice to see that for a change.  They sell merchandise there as well, Sassafrass Lass to be exact, one of my new favorite lines!

Maya Road-I really like their merchandise.  I used one of their little book things at one of my classes and loved it.  While looking at the site I noticed that they have other little templates that you can use.  One is a little day planner.  I think it will be nice to make once I get the shipboard book to put it in.  YES!

Lazy Girl Blog-She makes things that are easy and that I can totally make using a needle and thread.  I’m going to make this bad to store my MM Trimmer.  I need something to carry it that will have enough cushioning in it so I may add a layer of pillow top-thingy on the inside- can’t remember what its called.

I think that’s it for now.  I will probably write more later because that’s what I do.

Catch Up! April 2, 2008

Psha Psha Psha……  I have a lot of random things to write about today.

I had a great day on Monday.  It was my darling DAVE’S 3-0 th birthday.  WOW!  That’s old, but I’ll be up there in 5 years.  Isn’t that crazy!  Well our day started off awesome!  Then we went to Fido.  I got my spuds mc-cheesy with a coffee and Dave had a bagel and a million dollar orange juice, oh and we shared a rockin PC Muffin.  Yummy!  After that we went downtown and walked around for a few hours, then went to Ru-Sans for all you can eat sushi buffet.  Yum!!!!  Then we went back downtown and walked around some more.  Oh and we went shopping at American Apparel, I bought a plain t-shirt and Dave got 3 shirts.  They look super great on him!  I’m happy he got to buy clothes because he always lets me instead of him so I’m just happy for him.  While walking around we went to a few bars and had a few beers.  Yes, we did have beers at 2 in the afternoon.  I really felt like maybe I am an alcoholic as I was drinking during the day AND not at work.  But it was a fun day.  We also went to Legends, which is pretty cool.  I love the way it looks and feels when you are inside.  What I didn’t like was that there weren’t any specials and they charged $3.75 per beer.  Whatever!  I’m going to Joes Crab Shack from now on, 2 for 1’s there all day everyday.  Heck ya!  We met Megan and Seth and went to dinner and then got ice cream!  It was the best Ice cream that I’ve had in quite a while, but the cone was icky!  I’ll just get it in a cup next time! :)   But I think that Dave had a great day for his birthday.  He was able to go wherever he wanted and to do whatever he wanted and that makes him happy, which in turn makes me happy!

So I was working at Express last night and I heard some dude tell his girlfriend that our jeans are for male-erexic men.  That phrase doesn’t even make sense; I can understand man-erexic but not male-erexic.  LAME!  AND it’s not like our pants are small, we carry up to a 38 inch waist so stop wearing your pants down to your ankles and you will be fine or go to Big and Tall, that’s why the made that store and it does have nice things (I used them for a fashion show in High School so I know they do).  I’m not being mean about big people, I understand that’s how you are and I used to be heavier too, but this guy was not, he just liked his pants to hang to his ankles.  So there you have MALE-EREXIC!  Use it everyday!  What a word!

So I’m a little sad because Creation Station, one of the local scrapbook stores in my area, will be closing soon.  They sent out an email.  It makes me a little sad.  I never bought anything there because they closed early and I’m not THAT into scrapbooking.  But I was hoping that I would be once I got back from the convention.  Sooo Boo!!!!!  They said in their email that they aren’t planning on a big sale…..yet as they are hoping that someone will want to buy the store and keep it going.  I’d love to do this.  I emailed Dave and told him but I didn’t get a response.  I’m assuming that means NO, which is understandable because he knows I’m not very creative.  But I would love to own my own business and to spend all day doing that.  That would be neat!  So if any of you feel like it, please send them an email wishing them happy thoughts and positive things.

A few more things and then I think I will be done for the day, I know it’s horrible how much I write, isn’t it.  But Dave is happy I put it here so instead of emailing him he can look when he wants.  HA!!!!!!!

Amanda and I had a fun day on Saturday.  We went out for coffee and then scrapbooked.  That was fun!  Went to the Frothy Monkey.  They have the best freaking coffee ever!  Please Please Please go there when you come to Nashville, I don’t think you will be disappointed, unless you buy a muffin, I’m iffy about those.  Anyways.. We leave tomorrow for our awesome scrapbooking weekend.  Hell YA!  We are heading to St Louis for our scrapbooking convention and it’s going to be so much fun.  We are staying at an awesome hotel, I think, and here are some cool amenities that it has, free breakfast with waffles and sausage and eggs, 3 free alcoholic beverages at night, workout room, free popcorn and soda from 3pm-10pm and a business center.  I’m just excited for the breakfast part!  Yay!

On a side note, I’m not sure how much I will be posting while I’m gone but hopefully I’ll be able to get on here for a little bit to post about the classes and all my other randomness.

Ok that is enough for now.  I’m going to head over to Walgreens to pick up my pictures for the trip!  Woo Hoo!!

Stephy :)

My husband is considered to be in the “Better” crowd.  One day I think that will be considered to be “elite” as no one will even know what a cd once was, as I am not really sure what an A track is.

I read this on the foxnews site and am shocked at what 3rd graders are trying to do.  Shoot… When I was in the third grade I was interested in freakin Hello Kitty, not killing my freaking teacher Mr. Orgeron!

Report: 3rd Graders Plotted to Kill Teacher
Tuesday , April 01, 2008

Officials in Georgia have thwarted a plot by a group of third-grade special education students to kill their teacher.

Officials at the Center Elementary School in Waycross, Ga., learned of the plot on March 28, when a student told authorities about the plan before the start of the school day, the Waycross Journal-Herald reports.

Eleven of 12 students in the class allegedly brought to school a broken steak knife, a roll of duct tape, handcuffs, ribbon and a crystal paperweight in a bid to kill their teacher, Belle Carter, the paper reports.

The students allegedly had assigned roles in the plot, the Journal-Herald said.

School officials spoke with parents about the incident on Monday, the paper said. The fate of the 11 students was yet to be determined.

Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner declined to comment about the case pending an investigation, the paper said.
